THE MEANING OF RAI

Rai is a point of view. Often meaning a piece of advice that people traveled to hear from far and near. The sheiks, leaders and wise men of ancient times, were capable of using the language in such a way that it appealed to ordinary people and made them at times believe the old wise men were truly above them. Advise was spoken out in rhyme, apparently without any effort, and all crucial information was shared in the form of what we would now call spoken poems. These rhythmical, lyrical pieces of wisdom were called Rai. Equally, the word Rai was used to describe a certain expression and opinion. Any sophisticated motion for freedom produced in a verbal way under oppression was referred to as Rai. It was a word that stood for a believe in something. In music, Rai stands for rhymed verse. A piece of music is not Rai if is not in rhyme and it has a meaning in its lyrics. This is exactly what Faruusa seeks for in her music in first level – rhyme and meaning.
